Career Guidance Workshop within the IT Practice «POVIR»

As part of the IT Practice «POVIR App Tester», a career guidance workshop «The Profession of a Tester: How to Find a Bug and Get into IT» was held.

Participants had the opportunity to talk with IT professionals, learn about the interim results of beta testing of the POVIR app, and ask their questions in an open Q&A format.

The speakers who shared their experience included:

• Oleksii Boboshko, Lead Tester, who spoke about the specifics of the QA profession and shared his own practice stories;
• Viktoriia Kovtun, Project Manager with 11 years of experience, who emphasized the importance of finding one’s professional path even during challenging times;
• Dmytro Novikov, Python Developer, who stressed choosing a profession based on interests and personal inspiration;
• Oleksii Voloshyn, Software Architect and Team Lead, who shared his story of professional growth and motivated young people to pursue their dreams;
• Dmytro Diuženko, Project Manager, who spoke about working on educational products and the realities of the IT field.

During the workshop, participants learned:

• what a «bug» really means and why finding it is crucial for product development;
• how to start a career in IT, where to study, and what knowledge is essential;
• how to build a personal development trajectory and avoid common mistakes at the beginning of a career.

The workshop became an important part of the IT Practice, as it provided young people not only with practical knowledge of testing but also with valuable advice for future professional growth.
